- 6 cups filtered water
- 1 cup raw, unsalted nuts of choice
- 5-7 dates*
- 1 T vanilla extract
Soak nuts overnight – drain, and discard soaking liquid.
Blend all ingredients together on high for two minutes in powerful blender.
Pour through a nut milk bag or a wire strainer.
Refrigerate up to five days in mason jar.
The remaining nut pulp** can be used for many alternative recipes, including, as a spread, in baking, added to smoothies...
(Use nut milk in your coffee, on cereal, in smoothies and anywhere else you would use regular milk.)
* optional, if you do not like dates- raisins or figs are alternatives
** can be dried for six hours and made into a flour
